For more than 30 years, Susan Ryan has been partnering with leaders utilizing her influence, strategic thinking, problem solving skills and communication savvy to help advance the objectives of various organizations across the country. 

 

Her areas of expertise include leadership training, marketing, branding, public relations, human resources consulting, organizational and cultural transformation, change management, crisis communications, corporate communications, speech writing, executive coaching, and merger integration, among others. This breadth of experience crosses many different businesses and industries, which provides for a broad perspective of practices and solutions. 

 

With hundreds of media contacts around the country, Ms. Ryan has worked on both small local and large national media matters on behalf of prosecutors, law enforcement agencies and private companies. She served as one of the first Public Information Officers for a      prosecutor’s office in one of the most violent cities in America. She willingly shares her scars and successes in an effort to help others learn from her experience. 

 

Ms. Ryan has more than 22 years of experience working specifically with law enforcement agencies across the country including the Missouri Association of Prosecuting Attorneys, New York Prosecutors Training Institute, National District Attorney Association, California District Attorney Association, the Bronx District Attorney’s Office, the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office, Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, Rockland County District Attorney’s Office, Fulton County District Attorney, 9th Solicitor’s Office, and dozens of others     

 

Ms. Ryan is a regular faculty members of the National District Attorney’s Association (NDAA), the Association of Prosecuting Attorneys (APA), the National Association of Prosecutor Coordinators (NAPC) as well as dozens of state prosecutor organizations. She has also been invited as a guest speaker to the Missouri Bar Association, the Conference Board, Working Mother Magazine Workplace Diversity Conference, and the California Institute of Technology Leadership Program among others, on various management and media-related topics. 

 

Before founding her own companies, SC Ryan Consulting, LLC in 2000 and Vera Causa Group, LLC in 2016, Ms. Ryan served as Vice President of Strategic Communications and Diversity for Monsanto/Bayer. She helped lead the global communications and human resources functions through mergers, spins, acquisitions and a redesign of Monsanto’s overall business strategy, communications plans and corporate culture. Ms. Ryan has also held positions at two Viacom-owned television stations, including KSLA-TV in Shreveport, LA and KMOV-TV in St. Louis, MO. 

 

Ms. Ryan graduated from Bradley University in Illinois with a double major in Journalism and Radio/Television. She lives in St. Louis County, Missouri with her husband and enjoys playing golf, laughing with friends and supervising her “pandemic puppy,” Birdie, who also serves as an office assistant.
