Jason Lamb
Jason Lamb serves as Senior Consultant and Faculty Member at Vera Causa Group. His experience in the legal field is wide and deep. With 25 years of distinguished legal experience, Jason brings extensive expertise in prosecution, judicial leadership, trial advocacy and organizational excellence to VCG clients.
Jason’s career spans roles as Missouri's youngest elected prosecutor, Executive Director of the Missouri Association of Prosecuting Attorneys (MAPA), and Circuit Judge for Missouri’s 12th Judicial Circuit. During his tenure on the bench he championed improvements in responses to behavioral health and co-occurring substance abuse disorders, led statewide improvements to pre-trial release decision making, and was routinely tapped by other judges for organizational leadership.
As MAPA's Executive Director, Jason led crucial initiatives including the revision of Missouri's Criminal Code and strengthening crime victim restitution programs. His achievements in prosecution earned him recognition as Prosecutor of the Year from both Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the International Association of Arson Investigators. He also served as President of the National Association of Prosecutor Coordinators and taught at the National Advocacy Center in Columbia, SC.
During his tenure as Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney between 2003-2009 Jason pioneered several innovative programs, including helping establish a successful Treatment Court, implementing Multi-Disciplinary Teams for child abuse investigations, and developing coordinated community responses to domestic violence. His career work protecting crime victims' rights earned special recognition from the Missouri Department of Public Safety.
Jason began his legal career in his hometown of Mexico, Missouri with the Seigfreid Law Firm after serving as a law clerk at the Supreme Court of Missouri. He resides in Mexico where he is Of Counsel with the law firm of Erdel, Owings, Tanzey and Newton. He has also been trained in mediation for civil cases in Missouri. In addition to his trial experience, he has briefed and argued cases in front of the Missouri Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of Missouri. Jason earned his law degree from Tulane School of Law.
